Meet Chef Catina Smith + Join Us for 'The Company We Keep'Â Supper Club Series
At Collective Spaces – The Loft, we believe food is more than something we serve — it’s how we build community, celebrate culture, and create space for meaningful connection. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our newest offering: the Chef in Residence Program.
This seasonal residency uplifts local chefs and culinary entrepreneurs by providing them with a space to create, connect, and curate memorable dining experiences. Through intimate events, mentorship, and storytelling, this program shines a light on the talent and creativity that lives right here in Baltimore.
Meet Our Inaugural Chef in Residence: Catina Smith
We are honored to welcome Chef Catina Smith as our very first Chef in Residence. Catina is the founder of Our Time Kitchen and one of Baltimore’s most impactful culinary voices. She brings over 15 years of experience, a passion for community, and a commitment to uplifting Black women chefs.

Her cuisine is a vibrant fusion of Caribbean, Asian, Latin, and American flavors — but her impact goes far beyond the plate. From mentorship to culinary education, Catina’s work has been recognized nationally, with features in the New York Times, Baltimore Magazine, and Bon Appétit.
As a chef, educator, and community-builder, she continues to shift the narrative of who belongs in the culinary spotlight — and we’re proud to collaborate with her through this residency.
Introducing The Company We Keep
A Supper Club by Collective Spaces
For those who savor good food — and even better company.
To celebrate the launch of our Chef in Residence Program, we’re also introducing The Company We Keep — our signature Supper Club series. These intentionally intimate, invitation-only dinners are designed to spark connection, center storytelling, and nourish our guests in every sense of the word.
Each gathering will highlight a Chef in Residence and offer a space to share stories, seasonal menus, and soulful conversation around the table.
